Track & Field Construction Delayed. First Game on New Turf to be Homecoming
Because of the extraordinary amount of rain Knob Noster has received this summer the track and field project is about 3 weeks behind schedule. Because our opponent for the first home game is Versailles (Sept. 5) and their own turf project is behind schedule as well, the district has contracted with the University of Central Missouri (formerly CMSU) in Warrensburg to host the game.
This means that the inaugural game on the new artificial turf will be Homecoming 2008 on September 19!!! If you were still on the fence about attending, we hope that this will convince you to come. Because this will be the first public look at the improved stadium expect an extra large turnout for this year’s game.

Homecoming and All-School Reunion
Log in at www.knaa.org and register online for homecoming. Not only will fellow classmates see that you’re attending but you can also print out a coupon for a free Panther megaphone sporting the new Panther logo. This is different from the thread in the discussion board so sign up today!
The All-School Reunion, held every 2 years will also be held Homecoming weekend. The reunion, open to every KNHS graduating class will be Sunday, September 21. Make this part of your homecoming plans. More details are available after logging in at www.KNAA.org
New Logo Available at Panther Store
If you’re looking for Panther merchandise with the new logo you can now get it on embroidered items at the Panther store. Visit www.KNAA.org and click the Panther Store banner at the top of the page. The Booster Club will also be selling items with the new logo at all home games.
Baseball & Softball Field Construction
Much of the grading work has been completed on the new baseball/softball complex located north of Knob Noster on Hwy 23. Visit the district’s web site for photos of the construction.
Reunion Plans for the Class of 1944, 45, 46
The combined reunion for the classes of 1944 through 1946 will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008. A private room has been reserved at King's Chef Buffet at 501 N. Maguire in Warrensburg from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. There is no formal program planned, just come to get together and visit. Cost will be $10 per person. Please RSVP by August 15 to Ruth Tresenriter at 660.747.8765.
Class of 1998 Also Meeting
The Class of 1998 10-year reunion is also set for the weekend of Homecoming on 9/19 and 9/20. Friday is the Homecoming game (possible tailgating and/or tour of the HS), and then on Saturday a banquet room at Heroes in Warrensburg has been reserved for dinner at 6:30 pm. Calling All Walkers & Runners
Gene Hall, class of 1977 is encouraging KNHS graduates to “invade Warrensburg” the weekend of Homecoming and to run or walk in the Warrensburg ½ Marathon on Saturday, Sept. 20. Many of us that graduated before Warrensburg became so much bigger than Knob remember that there used to be a huge rivalry between the two towns. Gene’s suggestion is that a large group of Knob runners and walkers wear KNHS t-shirts to the race to show our roots. Contact Gene at genehalljr@yahoo.com if you are interested.
