FloodRain Soaks Knob.  Flooding worse than any in recent memory.
Heavy rains caused extensive flooding in Knob Noster Thursday evening, June 20.  The city park, several houses and the apartment complex near Casey’s (across from the old Panther drive in) all had approximately 3 feet of water from overflowing creeks.  The bridge over the creek near the high school, the high school tennis courts, and several other roads in and around Knob Noster were covered with fast moving water.  Even State Street leading through town to WAFB was impassable as water from the creek covered the road directly across from the football field.  The photo at right is a view of the city park. More pictures of the flooding are available at http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8ActWbVy4YsmNK

New Football Field & Track Construction Has Started
The Knob Noster School District is replacing the old "Red Dog" rock track with a rubberized all-weather surface. In addition, the grass of the football field is being upgraded to artificial turf. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2008. Visit http://www.knaa.org/pride_field.cfm for photos of the construction process.
