KNHS Sports Notes
Sarah Tyler, a junior at KNHS and the daughter of Ray (1975) and Kelly (Kuhn, 1979) Tyler went over the 1000 point mark in basketball last Thursday, February 7th. She is the 4th girl to accomplish this feat following Ashley Kendrick (2001), Jennifer Goodrich (Corbett, 2001), and Lindsey Maple (2004).
The Panther wrestling team is sending 9 wrestlers to the MSHSAA State Championship Tournament this week, February 14th through the 16th at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. They are Kirk Luzano (Jr.) 112#, Roman Vega (So.) 119#, Ryan Hoagland (Fr.) 130#, Quincy Hawkins (Sr.) 135#, Jacob Hoagland (Jr.) 140#, Tony Demma (Sr.) 145#, Aren Thorsen (So.) 160#, Cole Miller (Sr.) 171# (defending champion), and Luke Morgan (Jr.) 189#. The Panthers finished in 3rd place in Class 1 a year ago, and hope to get another top 5 finish this year. The wrestling action can be followed at www.mshsaa.org as the brackets are updated at the end of each round.
Can You Add to Our Archives
We’ve added an Archives section under the Panther Pride section of KNAA.org. We currently have a history of the class of 1956, a 1979 Knobna, some graduation programs from the 70s and 80s, as well as other miscellaneous documents that have been scanned in. If you have documents or papers you’d be willing to scan we’d love to add them. Please contact info@KNAA.org for details of formatting them for the web site. Thanks to Dorothy Lynde Grove (’56) and Scott Clark (’80) for their contributions to this section of the site.

Buy a Wristband, Encourage a Senior
Thanks to all who have already donated to Senior Send Off. This is our annual opportunity to meet with the graduating seniors to tell them about our organization and to encourage them to use the web site to help keep in touch. During the meeting we like to give each of the graduates some sort of gift. This year we plan to hand out black wristbands with orange lettering that says, "KNHS - We Bleed Orange."
The send off will be held in May and we're asking alumni members to help fund the bracelets. For a donation of $10 you can purchase 3 bracelets: one for you and two for graduating seniors. Or you can choose to have all 3 given to the seniors. If you'd like to help out, please log on and click the Senior Send Off link on the home page.
