Chili Cook Off to Support KNHS Student With Leukemia
Several Knob Noster Alumni are arranging a Chili Cook Off to help with expenses for the family of Sydney Betancourt, a freshman at Knob Noster High School. The event will be held on January 12 beginning at 5:30pm in the KNHS Cafeteria and a concert featuring the band the Crying Stones follows at approximately 7:00. Registration for the Cook Off is $20. Contact Samantha Park at 660.233.0782 or samanthapark24@hotmail.com for registration information. If you don’t want to cook but would like to have dinner they are asking a suggested donation of $7 per person or $20 per family of 4. All money will go directly to the Betancourt family to help defray expenses due to travel to and from the Ronald McDonald House and missed work. In addition to Samantha (class of 2006), alumni supporting this effort are JJ Holbrook and Greg Colliver.
Please come out and support this Panther family in need.
Can You Help With Senior Send Off?
Senior Send Off is our annual opportunity to meet with the graduating seniors to tell them about our organization and to encourage them to use the web site to help keep in touch. During the meeting we like to give
each of the graduates some sort of gift. This year we plan to hand out black wristbands with orange lettering that says, "KNHS - We Bleed Orange."
The send off will be held in May and we're asking alumni members to help fund the bracelets. For a donation of $10 you can purchase 3 bracelets: one for you and two for graduating seniors. Or you can choose to have all 3 given to the seniors. If you'd like to help out, please log on and click the Senior Send Off link on the home page.
Multi-Year Reunion for Classes of 1963-1968
The Knob Noster High School classes of 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, and 1968 are planning a Class Reunion on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Elk’s Lodge on Business Route 50 East, Warrensburg, Missouri. The evening will begin with a social hour from 6-7 PM (cash bar). Dinner will be served at 7 PM, followed with a DJ providing your choice of music for listening or dancing.
We have lost contact with many of the graduates, so if you know of someone that may not have received this invitation, please contact them and urge them to attend. If you will send us their name and address, we will send them an invitation. Please feel free to include any graduate of Knob Noster and we will all celebrate together and once again catch up on renewing friendships.
A casual reception will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Player’s Restaurant downstairs (across street from Holiday Inn Express), Warrensburg from 6-9 PM. If you cannot make Saturday night’s dinner please try to come by on Friday to visit with your classmates. The restaurant will be open to serve for those wanting to eat, while reminiscing on past times with your classmates.
Please visit KNAA.org and view the Reunions section to find out more information and to download a registration form.
