Today is the Day! Homecoming 2007 is Here
We’re expecting well over 100 alumni from a range of classes to attend Homecoming 2007. This will probably be our biggest turnout yet. Even if you didn’t sign up to indicate that you’re attending you’re still welcome. Come out and support KNHS.
Here’s the schedule for the day’s events.
- Pep Assembly begins at 2:00 pm in the high school gym. There will be a special section marked off for alumni and we’ll be recognized during the assembly. Wear your letter jacket and/or orange and black colors. The assembly will last about an hour and will include the crowning of the Homecoming Prince & Princess. Crowning of King & Queen takes place at half time of the game.
- Homecoming Parade begins at 4:00 pm in the high school parking lot. Alumni will be riding/walking together in the parade. Hopefully we’ll have a large turnout of alumni for the parade. This is expected to be the biggest Homecoming parade in recent years.
- At 5:30 there is a tailgating tent inside the stadium. Band members and cheerleaders will perform and coach Ed Phillips will talk about game strategy. First Community Bank will once again be sponsoring a community tent with food and giveaways.
- At 6:00 the alumni tent will be open inside the stadium. Be sure to stop at the tent to register. We’ll also be wristbands for $3.00. The black and orange wristbands say, “KNHS - We Bleed Orange”
- At 6:45 alumni will gather near the end zone and will walk the track in front of the stands and be recognized. Wear your orange and black.
- After the game join us for an informal alumni gathering at Choppers. This is located in downtown KN just south of the railroad tracks. For you old-timers it is where NAPA auto parts used to be. See you there!
