Homecoming Registrants
So far 90 alumni have signed up to say that they are attending Homecoming. This looks to be our biggest turnout yet. If you haven’t checked out our list of Homecoming registrants, log on and click the link on the home page. If you’re coming on Oct. 5 but haven’t yet registered, do it today. Your being there may just encourage someone else to come!
Homecoming 2007 Reminders
KN High School’s new principal, Mr. Royal Peterson, is making a big effort this year to up the spirit level for this year’s Homecoming and to really recognize KNHS alumni. Here are the details for the October 5 event.
If you’re willing to help out by working at least part of the game in the alumni tent, please email info@KNAA.org as soon as possible. I’ve got kids playing so I’ll be watching the game. Thanks for the help!
Pep Assembly begins at 2:00 pm in the high school gym. There will be a special section marked off for alumni and we’ll be recognized during the assembly. Wear your letter jacket and/or orange and black colors. The assembly will last about an hour and will include the crowning of the Homecoming Prince & Princess. Crowning of King & Queen takes place at half time of the game.
Homecoming Parade begins at 4:00 pm in the high school parking lot. Alumni will be riding/walking together in the parade. Hopefully we’ll have a large turnout of alumni for the parade. This is expected to be the biggest Homecoming parade in recent years.
Beginning at about 5:30 pm there will be tailgating available in the parking lot (bring your own snacks) and also First Community Bank will once again be sponsoring a community tent with food and giveaways.
At 6:00 the alumni tent will be open inside the stadium. Be sure to stop at the tent to register. We’ll also be selling inexpensive black and orange KNHS wristbands.
At 6:45 alumni will gather near the end zone and will walk the track in front of the stands and be recognized.
Location of the post-game alumni gathering has not yet been determined but more information will be available in upcoming newsletters and also at the game.
