At MGDK, our goal is to breed and train superior dogs that have the passion and skills for hunting. We take pride in developing our dogs into companions for the field and the home. There is no secret to our success, we utilize tried and true methods for developing special dogs. We have achieved a quality bloodline from registered champion stock, and we start religious obedieince and field training at just a few weeks old. Champion stock makes the training job easier because the dogs possess inherited traits that can't be taught. It also makes the owners job easier maintaining the dogs performance. Although our chosen breed is German Shorthairs, we board and train all pointing breeds. Obedience training is important for any field dog, requiring hours of patient attention and care. Field training consists of exposing the dogs to pen raised and wild birds, in hunting situations, to condition and perfect their natural abilities. |
